Professional Regulation
The Stonehouse Holistic Centre is a registered clinic with the Acupuncture-Acutherapy Council and the CNHC who have approved the standard required by the NHS.
As a practitioner of medicine it is my duty to uphold strict codes of practice and safe working. I am currently a recognised practitioner with the CNHC (Complimentary and Natural Health Council) which is the only register supported by the government. This means that your local GP or NHS staff can refer you for treatment if you wish.
Its key function is to enhance public protection by setting standards for registration with CNHC. The CNHC ‘quality mark' is being recognised as the hallmark of quality for the sector. This means that the general public, and those who commission the services of complementary healthcare practitioners will be able to choose with confidence by looking for the CNHC quality mark.
The Department of Health recommends that, where CNHC registers the professional discipline in question, you consult with someone who is CNHC registered.
I am also a registered practitioner with:
The Acupuncture - Acutherapy Council is a professional register that specialises in promoting safe and qualified practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Oriental Bodywork. AcuC is one of the UK's largest representative of eastern medical practice.
All member practitioners are qualified, insured and maintain codes of practice so that you can expect high quality, safe professional treatment.
Microsystems Practitioners are recognised by the CNHC.
Stroud District Council provides local authority licensing for the practice of Acupuncture for the practitioner and premises they practice from.
All successful licenses are granted by meeting strict health and hygiene regulations and a safe working environment.
